Insurance Covered Lactation Services Include:
Prenatal Breastfeeding Consultations
Postpartum Breastfeeding Consultations
Pumping & Flange Fitting Consultations
Follow-Up Consultations
Many eligible families receive coverage for 3-6 lactation consultations, allowing for continued support throughout their breastfeeding journey. Coverage varies by insurance plan.
Appointments are available virtually and in our office at The Nesting Place in Farmingdale, NY.
How It Works:
Find Your Insurance Below.
Choose the option that matches your insurance plan to verify your benefits.
Verify Your Coverage.
Complete the secure verification form through either The Lactation Network or Wildflower Health. They’ll confirm your eligibility and available lactation benefits.
Schedule Your Consultation.
Once your insurance benefits have been verified, the next steps depend on the platform you used. If you applied through The Lactation Network (TLN), both you and our office will be notified. If you applied through Wildflower, you’ll receive an email with a link to schedule your appointment directly.
The Lactation Network
We partner with The Lactation Network (TLN) to help eligible families access insurance-covered prenatal and postpartum lactation support.
Participating Insurance Plans: Aetna, First Health, UnitedHealthcare/Oxford, and other eligible plans.

Wildflower Health
We partner with Wildflower Health to help eligible families access insurance covered prenatal and postpartum lactation support.
Participating Insurance Plans: Cigna, select Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield commercial plans, and other plans.

Self-Pay Options
Not using insurance? No problem.
You can book a self-pay consultation if you prefer to pay out of pocket, your insurance isn't eligible through The Lactation Network or Wildflower Health, or you'd like to schedule your appointment right away.
A detailed Superbill will be provided for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
